An Enphase Gateway that uses a mesh network extender will constantly ping each node in the network (the individual extenders around the home) and try to connect to them, causing it to disconnect and reconnect constantly. This results in the Gateway not reporting.
To resolve this, you can access the mesh network settings, disable mesh roaming specifically for the Gateway, and assign it to the closest node.
1. Disable Mesh Roaming / Assign Node Connection Preference: Bind the Gateway to the nearest mesh node by turning off mesh roaming for the device.
2. Power Down Nodes: Power down all mesh satellite nodes except the one closest to the Enphase Gateway.
3. Reconnect Gateway: Remove the previous network from the Gateway’s known networks list and connect it to the single active mesh node.
4. Lock Connection Preference: Access the mesh network settings (via the mesh router app or web interface) and disable mesh roaming for the Gateway, or lock/assign its connection preference to that specific node.
5. Restore Network: Power back on the remaining mesh nodes to restore the rest of the household mesh network.
