With a solar lease, you get all the benefits of having solar on your own home without ever having to purchase the actual equipment. Solar Holler handles the installation and all maintenance, while our trusted and vetted partner owns the system. You simply pay a low monthly fee for the energy it produces — for less than you currently pay for utility power.

You must own your home (we cannot install on manufactured homes), have a suitable roof with good sun exposure, and be located in our AEP Ohio service territory. Our team will review your application and home details as part of the approval process.

Yes. Any time after year 6, you can buy the system outright at fair market value as determined by a third party assessor.

Solar can increase your home's value. When selling, the new owner can assume the lease, or you can purchase the system and include it in the sale. Our team walks you through all options when the time comes.

Yes. Your home will still be connected to the grid, so even if you offset all of your energy consumption, you'll pay that meter connection fee (usually around $10–$15/month). Still, your combined monthly costs should be lower than your utility bill alone is today.

When you purchase, you own the system outright. Often, this means your lifetime savings is greater. However, a lease delivers immediate savings with zero upfront cost. Both paths save you money; the right one depends on your situation.
